Blindside was formed in the fall of 1994 and began their career together only two weeks later at their first gig. The band currently consists of: Marcus Dahlström - drums, Simon Grenehed - guitar and backing vocals, Tomas Näslund - bass, and Christian Lindskog - vocals. The whole concept of Blindside was thought up by Magnus Eriksson (a former guitarist), Simon, Christian and Marcus back in 1994. It was only a short two weeks after that did Tomas officially become a member of the band.

In actuality Blindside was not the band's first name; it was Underfree. Underfree originally practiced in a place south of Stockholm called Musikhuset. They had been playing various shows in Stockholm when they release their first demo in the spring of 1995.

The name Blindside was finally born in 1996. At this time they recorded their first, what they call "real" demo, at Musik-Huset Studios. This demo was released in the fall of 1996 and, due to the demo and frequent rehearsing in Stockholm, the band started to get a considerable amount of gigs. Their demo was produced by Lars Mårtén and Pirre who were both in a band called Fistfunk.

Cornell Gregori was responsible for arranging Blindside's shows at a place called K23. Eventually gigs would be arranged by Thomas Carlsson and Bo Hallberg who wanted them to sign to the record label Day-Glo. Early 1997 gave birth to their first album which was recorded at TVinter Studios. They have since gone on to be signed with Solid State Recordings, a division of Tooth and Nail Records, and have put out two full length albums with them.
