As much as I hate to part with this amp, recent expenses force me to do so. This is a Marshall AVT-100 amp based on the hot new Valvestate 2000 technology, combining all the benefits of warm tube-sound and low-noise solid-state precision. It’s only two years old, and hasn’t been out of my room except for a handful of occasions. Overall, this amp is in nearly perfect condition cosmetically and functionally. Speaking of function, this amp sounds GREAT! I've never owned an amp that sounded better or was more versatile all-around.

Three channels and Valvestate technology offer up the clearest sounds on each channel. On the clean channel, turn up the reverb for smooth jazzy lines and finger-picking…add in a little chorus for more modern rock lines. Like the way those vintage amps sound clean and crisp? Engage the AVT-100’s bright switch to take your sound way back to the 50’s and 60’s or tweak the EQ and FX to achieve modern country leads. If you’re looking for that famous Marshall crunch, look no further than the two independent overdrive channels. Overdrive 1 is for that light to moderate drive, sonically taking on all the rhythm, blues, and rock combinations you can muster up, going from that slight tube crunch to mid-gain stages. Don’t like the mids? Looking for that classic Metallica mid-cut sound? Both overdrive channels feature a mid-scoop option. When it’s time for your big solo, step on the footswitch to activate the Overdrive 2 channel and listen to your highs scream above the bass as miles of gain make your guitar sound like it’s being run through a modern hi-gain half stack.

Like a little delay on that? No problem, the footswitch allows you to activate your DSP FX channel with the simple press of a button. Dial in any of the 16 digital effects or effects combinations including Hall, Plate, Room, and Gated reverbs; Chorus, Flange, and Delay as well as combination FX: Delay/Room and Chorus/Room as well as modulation effects. With the ability to adjust decay, rate, time, and speed, these effects can really bring your parts to life.

All of this is delivered through Marshall’s renowned Valvestate architecture, which combines a tube (12AX7) preamp with a solid state power amp. This means your amp won’t burn you after a two-hour gig, but you’ll still get that fat, warm tube sound that everyone pays the big dollars to get.

This is your chance to have a fantastically versatile amp that is basically new for a price that you can afford. I’m asking $550, since this amp is in such great condition, but will always consider other offers. Please feel free to contact me (jbh02001@cub.uca.edu) if you have inquiries.
