Okay, here's the scoop... I've been playing guitar for almost 10 years and bass for almost half that... I have just now started to record my own Industrial style music with my computer and was just wondering if anyone had some tips on mixing levels and stuff like that... Haevon on MP3.COM

I'm kind of new to it too but one of the best ways to check your mix is to play it on many different stereos. Your computer, your car your boom box, even a walkman. You never know how other people listen to it. That way you can get it to a good sound that works in many different situations.

I've been recording at levels a little lower then most people suggest. It seems I have more room to mess around when I mix it then.

I've gotten some pretty decent results as far as recording and mixing the guitars... it sounds fuckin' sweet when I'm listening to it on the way to work...! So, does anybody know if it really matters what the levels should be for the vocals...? I don't really like them to be too high, but I also don't want them to be too low... :p

Oops.. I almost forgot... My drums and synths are all done on my computer... When I finally make my "real" demo, should I run the computer, guitar, and vocals into a mixer and then into the recorder..? Or, should I just record all the tracks into my computer and mix them on here..?

Please give up and stop diluting the industry with your crappy music. You will never make it, so don't waste any more money trying to buy equipment. Stop now and give those with REAL talent a chance.
