I'm hoping someone here may be able to help me. I've been a radio dj for 7 years now and I do great commercial production. Along with the company I work for I also do some freelance voiceovers for the cable company, etc. My boss has no problems with me using the recording studios at work for my extra stuff, but I live a half hour away and it's a little tedious to drive all the way back in just to record one spot that someone needs a quick turnaround on. I'd like to set up something at home to be able to take care of such things as this. I can use any software you put in front of me, cooledit, adobe, etc, but ask me how it works or how to hook it up and i'm a complete moron. I have a spare room at home that I can use, a computer and an old mixing board that i've had for years..not sure if I should throw that thing out and get a new one or if I can make it work since all I need is to hook up a quality mic and a mini disc player. Any suggestions on what hardware I need and exactly where to plug it in onto my computer? I appreciate any help you may be able to give. Thanks, Mandi
