We've had trouble with drummers. In fact we had to play one gig with a drum machine. It actually went over very well and we didn't have to pay it.

In my experience, it seems like which ever band member you need is the one that will be the hardest to find. If you have a drummer, vocalists or guitarist there seems to be plenty around but the moment you need one they all are already involved in another project? Bad timing seems to stall many bands in their search for new members. The musicians you do find, need to have the same skills, motivation, goals and the right personality. That's a lot of variables that have to align. I would hate to see what the the odds are of keeping a band together and productive over a long period of time. But, when you do find the right people to work with, it makes it all worth while.
