Hello Everyone,
This week we spotlight the drummers on our site. Bruce Shutan, an accomplished drummer in his own supplied us with a great article that appeared earlier this year in Drum Magazine. Top drummers such as Simon Phillips, Gregg Bissonette and Steve Smith sound off on session work and offer many tips for aspiring drummers. There is also some helpful information if you’re doing a recording project.

Mara's original acoustic rock with soul showcases classic songwriting sensibility reared on modern pop radio. In 2001, Mara was nominated by the LA Music Awards as 'Best Female Singer/Songwriter' and secured a coveted spot on Music Connection Magazine's 'Hot 100 Unsigned Artists' list. $1.00 from every CD sold will benefit breast cancer research.
http://www.onlinerock.com/mara Sell You CDs - You too can sell your CDs in our Music Store with our CD Sales Program. We take the order, process the payment, and fill and ship the order, all for only $3.00 per CD and no setup charge.

OnlineRock can generate a barcode for your new release, register it with SoundScan, and place your CD in our Online Music Store - all for only $25.
http://www.onlinerock.com/barcode Forum Question - It’s been over twenty years since MTV started playing music videos. Many bands through out the eighties and nineties thought that a video was the only way to make it in this industry. This week we ask; is that still the case? Do videos matter any more? If so, how are they used? Do they help get gigs? Is there a different format that now works better? Let us know what you think of videos and how they help promote your music.
http://www.onlinerock.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi Featured Artists – The Dips from Orange County, California are this week’s profiled band. Try to imagine a cross between melodic punk and 50's rock. Then, take away all the cheesy love songs. Replace them with an infatuation with bowling, a few "your mom" jokes, and a deep thought here and there. That's them.
Our featured MP3, “I Wish the Sun”, comes from Boneyard6. They are headed to Boston to finish recording their long awaited first CD. Our featured site is from The Wrekkage. They have been called "Gothic Hillbillies" and "Bastard Children of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Pink Floyd". One thing is for sure, the music they have created has a style they have yet to place a genre.
Do you want to be featured? All you have to do is have a Web site, a great photo, and fill out the profile form. Maybe you'll be next!
http://www.onlinerock.com/profileform List Your Site - Don't forget about our new OnlineRock Music Directory. You can now add a link to your Web site to the searchable directory. You can also add links to other music resource sites that you feel would benefit the music community.
