Hey Everyone,

OnlineRock is back! The past few months have been a little hectic, as we've been working to get things back online but good things come to those who wait. Although some things are a bit different from before, we feel that the changes are for the better. Our new, more robust Web building software now integrates a Web based e-mail system. If you'd like to read in more detail about OnlineRock's new direction, please check out the letter from our founder at http://www.onlinerock.com/guest/olrback.shtml

Your username and password are the same as before. While we will try to make the change to the new software as seamless as possible, we are expecting a few hiccups along the way. If you have any questions or problems please send them to webmaster@onlinerock.com.

If you've forgotten your password, we will email it to you when you try to log in. We also recommend that you update your profile once you do log in.

Forum Question: As in the past, OnlineRock is interested in your comments related to the world of music and the music industry. From time to time, we'll pose a different question in hopes of hearing your input. As OnlineRock moves forward, we plan to introduce OnlineRock Record, a small independent label for musicians of all sizes. To get your input and ideas, we ask, “What would you like to see from a label?” Please post your comments at http://www.onlinerock.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=000001

Are you looking for a new band member? Want to sell your old guitar? Looking for tips on home recording? Or just want to vent your opinions? Post all of your music-related comments at the OnlineRock Sounding Board. Just go to http://www.onlinerock.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

Gear Corner: As a new feature to our newsletters, we will focus on a piece of equipment, an instructional video or some software that we feel is of importance to our members. This week we direct our attention to home recording enthusiasts with a low cost drum machine from Roland. Check it out at http://www.onlinerock.com/store/equitment_DR770.shtml

This week, OnlineRock profiles Scarlet Crush from southern California. Remember the Beatles and Crowded House? The Crush follow in their footsteps with their own brand of quality crafted pop music. If you or your band would like to be profiled at OnlineRock, all you have to do is build a Web site at OnlineRock, have a great photo, and fill out the profile form at http://www.onlinerock.com/profiles/profileform.shtml

OnlineRock's featured MP3 comes from our own founder's band, The Suns of Midnight. “Hear the Laughter” was recorded earlier this year with the original members of the band using the Roland drum machine mentioned above.

If you have a site or MP3 you'd like OnlineRock to check out, drop our Webmaster a line webmaster@onlinerock.com

Rock on!
