I am always hunting for good new music. The radio doesn't play a lot of good, new rock. I would like to know about the best new rock you have heard, and where you have heard it.

The best new rock I have heard is a new live album from Neil Finn. He was the lead singer
and songwriter for Crowded House, do you know their stuff? It's really good, it's got a great sound on it, Eddie Vedder sings on one cut, and it's a mix of his solo stuff and old Crowded House songs. Check it out! I didn't hear it on the radio, I was on plane going to visit my relatives, and it was being played on the "in flight radio".

The best new record I have heard is by John Scofield. It's not really "rock" I guess, but it's not really jazz either. I guess you could call it instrumental/funk/jazz/rock. Anyway, it's called Uberjam and it's great. You won't hear this on the radio, for sure!My buddy turned me on to Sco, and I think this is his best record. Word of mouth is how I find out about most new stuff, I really don't listen to the radio at all.
