Warner Brothers Dom Famularo Its Your Move Motions & Emotions

Its up to you
The title of the book means its up to you and your desire be a better. Dom offers the seeds of ideas, now the student must react. It is the students choice.

The culmination of 30 years
The culmination of 30 years of private lessons, masterclasses, clinics, and seminars around the globe, Its Your Move is Doms first drum book. It contains two sections, the first discussing modern drum technique complete with detailed descriptions and illustrations. Dom has tried to combine the wisdom of his teachers Jim Chapin and Joe Morello (among others) into a clear and useful resource of the most groundbreaking techniques in modern drumming.

Push the limits of your artistic ability
The second section is a series of exercises for the drumset and pad that will push the limits of your artistic ability and expression to the fullest. The exercises are challenging... for intermediate to advanced level... and will challenge you to think about your coordination, rudiments, voicings, grooves, and other topics.

Digest at your own pace
Dom has successfully used all the material in the book in his global travels as an educator. Now this material is yours to digest at your own pace... Its Your Move! For complete info visit the Its Your Move page.

Review From Modern Drummer Magazine, February 2001
Rating 8 out of 10. "In an extremely user-friendly and focused book, Famularo and Bergamini give the reader an outline for developing a full complement of expressive tools. Artistic expression is the concept that they embrace. Versatility in all styles is the goal. To get you there, the authors employ cool flip-page illustrations of various strokes, discuss the musicality of the instrument, and cover building a solo to display melody, harmony, rhythm, dynamics, and song arrangement. Elsewhere they give proper weight to flams and ruffs, creating a good balance between the hands, playing odd times with precision, and firing off accents with the hands while keeping the feet free. A lot of this information may seem basic - and it is. But its the basis of a great foundation in drums."
