The Antique Series thin ride offers a dark sound with slightly reduced overtones. It provides the drummer with two playing surfaces—lathed and unlathed. The banded lathing on the top side allows the cymbal to open up with ample yet controlled overtones, while the unlathed areas offer greater stick definition and articulation.

The Antique Series marries the two lathing patterns found on the Traditional Series and the Turk Series. These cymbals offer the brilliance of a classic, lathed cymbal and the dryness of a raw, unlathed cymbal. The top side of this ride cymbal features an unlathed bell and a narrow strip of unlathed cymbal approximately half way between the bell and the edge. The bottom side of the cymbal is completely lathed.
