A fingerpicker's dream, with luxurious appointments to make it a true work of art.
The PRS Angelus Cutaway Custom Acoustic-Electric Guitar delivers generous volume and bass with an ideal
tonal balance not usually found in acoustic cutaway guitars. Though well-suited for finger-style players, the Paul Reed Smith
Angelus guitar is versatile enough for many kinds of music. The cutaway ads comfort when accessing the higher frets, so you
can have full access to the guitar's range.
The acoustic-electric Angelus guitar's top is Adirondack spruce—a
rare and highly desirable wood known for its balanced tone and light appearance. The guitar's rosewood back and sides offers
rich tone and a gorgeous dark-grain appearance.
Rosewood back and sides are tonewoods traditionally revered for their
big sound, balanced projection, and surprising strength of sound and timbre. A mahogany neck adds a slight softness to the
Angelus gutiar for a well-rounded tone. The set neck maintains the structural integrity of the guitar, so there's no drop-off
in tone, and you hear the full richness of this amazing PRS guitar with every strum.
The cocobolo bridge and fingerboard
offer lasting sustain and a sleek look. The wide-neck shape, 1-3/4" nut width, and 12" radius offer comfort for intricate
movements along the Angelus gutiar's 21 frets. Robson hand-machined tuners keep precise tuning.
For playing live at
larger venues and studio work, an integrated PRS acoustic pickup system provides easy amplification of the guitar's rich,
natural tone. The volume knob is mounted just inside the soundhole. The onboard preamp uses two 9-volt batteries to provide
massive headroom that's highly useful in live situations. You can play hard and crank it up loud without fear of overdriving
the preamp or distorting.
Dressed in a luxurious nitrocellulose finish with aluminum/bronze hardware, highly decorative
fingerboard inlays, body binding, and rosette, the acoustic-electric PRS Angelus guitar will cause a commotion every time
you take it out of the case. The Angelus represents PRS' painstaking attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, and use of
sought-after woods, to produce a guitar that looks as beautiful as it sounds. Look forward to loving your cutaway custom PRS
Angelus acoustic-electric guitar at first strum.
