A drum for the true collector, this ddrum snare features a 9mm slab of solid Canadian maple that is steam bent and fused at the joint to make a pure shell. Additional 9mm solid sections are added to the "reinforcement" sections (making the shell nearly an inch thick at the bearing edges) to provide extra tonal support. The outer shell is hand stained in a multi-coloured pattern to emphasize the exotic "zebra stripe" grain of the outer shell.

Dios Series drums are fashioned to bridge the gap between time-tested orthodoxy and the latest in percussion technology. Beginning with Canadian maple, these shells are thinner in nature to allow the unique tonal character of these exotic hardwoods to truly shine. The eight plies of the shell are cross-laminated in an alternating vertical/horizontal grain pattern. This allows the outer shell to showcase the natural splendor of the wood through a glass-like lacquer finish. The hand-stained inner shell of each drum creates smooth conduit for vibration and sound to travel through, resulting in sound that's clear and open. Accented further with classic tube-style lugs, die-cast hoops, and a variety of unique setups, Dios Series drums echo the call for a new percussive tradition.
