aim baby press

We were featured in the November 1999 issue of The Circle, an American Indian news and arts monthly. Writer (and guitarist) Jon Lurie described our September show at the 7th Street Entry and interviewed us. He wrote how we "Held the crowd riveted as lead singer Philomena unleashed a passionate, raw vocal performance over guitarist Chad's sweeping, mystical chords." Ho-wah!

mountain woman song

We met a woman
Lived on a mountain
Ran from soldiers and tigers and bears

(Chorus)
Seen the worst in every situation
Came out with a smile
Broke my heart into
Love for all of humanity

They came to her village
she was 10 years old
Men with guns
to steal everything she'd ever known
Her Mama said
"girl we gotta run,
girl we gotta go"

(Chorus)
(Bridge)
She gave us a gift in a box
in a jar
in a song
to bring back on the plane
hope beyond reason
for our people
to end the conquest

She held no hate in her heart
for those who chased her
tried to replace her
We hold no hate in our heart
for those that chase us
JUST QUIT!
End the Conquest

(Chorus)
(for the love no hate
she gave us)
End the conquest!
Of ALL
End the Conquest!
North and South
fusing conection
End the Conquest!

"You were a little wilder than I expected."
"You guys can jam."
"You go, aim baby!"
