Tempest Members performing on the CD are: Lief Sorbye (vocals on "The Long Blue), Adolfo Lazo (drums), Michael Mullen (fiddle), Jon Berger (fiddle), Ian Butler (keyboards), and John Land (flute).
Other musicians include: Greg Elmore (Drums), JD Smith (drums), Marina Garza (trumpet), Tracy McMullen (sax), Hal Biggler (Ac.bass), Adam Levine (guitar), Otto Huber (drums), Raq (vocals/bongos), Simone Nelson (vocals on "Old Stone"), and Nancy Hall (vocals).
Lief Sorbye (Tempest) is the featured vocalist on "The Long Blue”, a song reminiscent of the Tempest Celtic rock style. Nancy Hall (The Curios) adds her voice to the song “The Water is Wide”, a traditional folk tune featuring the 60’s style rollicking drums of "Quicksilver Messenger Service" Drummer - Greg Elmore. Songs, such as “3-Way Jam”, and “I’m Down” are distinctly blues-rock, with searing guitar leads and saxaphone. The song “Full Load” is a dense acid rock instrumental featuring an ethereal harmonica sound and a hypnotic drum beat. The song “Grass Attack” with its banjo and dueling slide guitars, sounds like a revved up hoedown. The CD ends with an original tune based on lyrics translated from a Welsh poem called "Old Stone". This song features a beautiful vocal performance by Simone Nelson (Jane Piranha) and flute played by John Land (Coyote Pudding/Tempest).
