The Perms are a Canadian-based quartet (Winnipeg, Manitoba) that’s creating a buzz in indie circles. And Better Days, their third album, is fun and festive. One to play when it’s time to get the party really hopping.

The album includes plenty of horns and a straightforward rock beat.

Their sound at times is reminiscent of Los Lobos, Elvis Costello as well as power pop acts like Teenage Fanclub. While most of the songs push the tempo accelerator, tracks like “Versus,” allow one to wipe their brow and finish their beer before heading back to the dance floor

Favorite Track: Track 5, “Lorazapam ”
