The Audix M1255-S, a miniaturized condenser microphone with a fully integrated preamp and detachable cable, is designed with a very high sensitivity for distance miking. The M1255-S mic is fitted with a supercardioid shotgun capsule. The supercardioid polar pattern has a longer reach and a more narrow pickup pattern than other cardioid patterns. It is helpful in pin-pointing hard to reach areas such as recording outdoors and with video. The Audix M1255 has complete immunity from RF interference caused by cell phones and GSM devices.
