Kick your guitar into high-gain destruction.

Maxon SM-9 Pro+ Super Metal distortion pedal creates a multitude of high-gain guitar tones, from the classic "scooped midrange" made famous by thrash pioneers of the 1980s to monstrous low-end for the drop-tuned sounds of modern metal.

The Maxon SM-9 Pro Plus pedal features Gain, Level, Scoop, and Edge controls. Gain simultaneously boosts the 1kHz midrange band by up to 20dB as Gain is increased. Scoop is a mid-band elimination filter that is variable between 200Hz to 2kHz. Edge is a hi-cut shelving filter that cuts hi frequencies from 2 kHz to 15kHz.

The Maxon SM-9 Pro+ effect pedal can be switched between 9V or 18V operation thanks to an internal voltage-doubling circuit. The 18V operation is stabilized, providing improved frequency response and less compression than the 9V operation.

Since their original introduction in the early 1980s, Maxon Nine Series designs have become a must-have pedal for effects connoisseurs around the globe. These Maxon pedals feature improved circuitry and true bypass switching.
