25 years culminated in this gorgeous and highly exclusive PRS acoustic-electric guitar.
In honor of Paul Reed Smith's 25th anniversary, the company is pleased to offer a very limited quantity
of 25th anniversary acoustics. These instruments, nicknamed "Emma" by the PRS acoustic team, are based on original award-winning
acoustics, but have many unique aesthetic and tonal appointments, including Brazilian rosewood headstock veneers, fretboards,
and bridges, and are only available in the United States.
This PRS guitar is built on the Angelus platform. The deep
body and broad shoulders are perfect qualities to produce balanced tone, with plenty of definition and projection, to cut
through any mix and sound great in the process. This acoustic-electric guitar is well-suited for finger-style players, though
it's versatile enough to sound great in accompanying kind of music. The cutaway on the upper bout provides comfort when accessing
the upper range of frets, while a wide-neck shape with a 12" radius, and a 1-3/4" nut width yield comfort for intricate finger-style
movements and progressions. The guitar top is AAAA-grade Adirondack spruce, used to get the best tonal definition possible.
The Madagascar rosewood back and sides produces plenty of projection and strong tone that gets even better with age. These
ultra-rare woods, along with classical hybrid X-bracing, offer brilliant tone and clarity that simply can't be matched by
most guitars.
The set neck offers strength in construction and tone, maintaining all the power and projection perfectly,
so there's no muddiness or loss of the natural sound of this beauty. The neck is a figured mahogany, a strong, pretty, and
rare wood that complements the tone, adding lasting sustain overall. The Brazilian rosewood bridge and fingerboard complement
these qualities nicely, while adding a striking appearance to the PRS guitar's body.
With its luxurious nitrocellulose
finish, Robson hand-machined tuners, and aluminum/bronze hardware, the PRS Angelus Cutaway Emma guitar will turn heads every
time you take it out of the case. It's a beacon of beauty and impeccable craftsmanship—the culmination of 25 years of
quality PRS guitar construction—and now it can be yours.
