A perfect beginner's dreadnought, at a price that's easy on the wallet.

The Hohner Essential Plus dreadnought guitar is built using a revolutionary technique Hohner calls Frequency Matching. Hohner's technicians use a form of tap tuning to determine the resonant frequencies of the woods and then match the solid Sitka spruce tops with similarly resonant mahogany backs. Combining this process with a micro thin finish produced an acoustic guitar with a powerful, rich singing tone that rivals guitars selling for three times as much.

The Essential Plus dreadnought is also equipped with the Earvana Compensated Tuning System. This special nut and bridge assures that this Hohner guitar plays with dramatically improved intonation, up and down the length of the neck making it a pleasure to play.

The Hohner acoustic guitar starts with a solid Sitka top, for a clear, balanced tone, with a crisp edge. The Mahogany body adds projection to the instrument, and the rosewood fretboard adds strength and lasting sustain. The 25-1/2" scale and 1-3/4" nut width adds comfort to intricate finger movements. Featuring chrome die-cast tuners, chrome hardware, and a satin natural finish, this dreadnought will be a welcome addition to your musical collection, and at a price that won't break the bank.

All Hohner Essential Plus guitars go through a 12-point inspection process at Hohner's US facility to make sure every guitar is set up to sound and play great.
