Dreamer
from Chicago-based gidgets ga ga is an instantly catchy album.
The powerful opener, Hit by a Train, is power pop at its best,
cast in the same mold as tunes from bands such as Badfinger
and Teenage Fanclub. The melodic title track follows and its
soothing vibe plays well with its upbeat lyrics.
The
other two tracks on the EP likewise are the sort that invite
listeners to hum along and tap their feet. The adept songwriting
of guitarist/vocalist Mike Flores bodes well for the band’s
future as each of these songs makes for a worthwhile listen.
