Jason Ayres lists John Mayer among his musical influences, and it’s not hard to see why. With his sweet pop stylings, Ayres could be Mayer’s musical brother. Backed by ridiculously catchy acoustic guitar tracks, Ayres twists and weaves his smooth voice through some delicious little numbers. And just when you think you’ve got him figured out, he busts out a mean falsetto that would be so fun to sing along with while driving.

Ayres is a native Australian, but there is no trace of the mythically rough Outback in his songs. This music could be from anywhere in the Western world. Gentle and inoffensive, the six songs on The Acoustic Tracks bop along at a brisk, head-bobbing pace that keeps you smiling the whole way through. Give The Acoustic Tracks a try if you’re looking for something to calm you down and pick you up after a hard day at work.
