Inside
most CD slush piles resides a musical gem. The Moon in
the Man (despite its trite album title and Doug Henning-like
cover) is such an album. Blanda, a veteran of the Austin,
TX music scene, croons soulfully through a wide variety of
material here: blues, ballads, alt country, rock and R&B.
From
the first track Blanda’s adept voice and band’s
catchy rhythms will have you smiling and tapping your feet.
This album does Austin proud. Its Texas-style rockin’ blues
are the next best thing to a night on 6th Street.
