Before you listen to the album, you need to visit the website and learn about the line-up of musicians Ken Steiger has recruited to work on this album. Not only will you be unable to get your chin off the floor, but also you will quickly learn about the soul and energy behind this man. So, now I bet you are anxious to know who the band members are. Tell me if any of these names ring a bell: Derek Sherinian (Ex-Dream Theater, Yngwie Malmsteen, KISS, Alice Cooper), Virgil Donati (Steve Via, Planet X), Tony Franklin (Jimmy Page, Blue Murder, Gary Hoey, Marty Friedman), and Gary Hoey.

Ken Steiger’s description of Instra-Metal Guitar is very appropriate. This educated guitar figure has been placed in front of many well-known musicians earning great respect and a wonderful foundation for this album. This instrumental masterpiece was listened to over and over again when I got it…still haven’t put it down. The drive and emotion behind this album will pump you up and make you want to go listen to his shows, buy his albums, buy merchandise, and even take guitar lessons from him. I haven’t heard an instrumental album this good in a long time, and as a fan of the standards (Satriani, Via, Malmsteen, Dream Theater) I found this album to be an easy top level match to those considered gods in the genre of progressive and instrumental rock/metal. Take the time, learn about Ken and his wonderfully designed project and then buy his CD, show your support and help keep this stuff alive! It drives me every day! It’ll affect you, too, I promise!
